Bond St. Crossing is back in service. The Niles Canyon Railway Signal Department was once again invited by the Sacramento Southern Railroad Signal Department to participate in their Annual Training Class on September 18th, 2010. Click on the photo below for more details about this event.
Saturday October 2nd will be a Caltrans Extreme Maintenance Day. The canyon will be closed to normal folks, but PLA members will be allowed to pass. Make sure to bring your membership card. We will be helping the tree trimming crew take care of the trimming whatever can’t be easily reached from the right-of-way.
Bond St. Crossing will be out-of-service starting 7/17/2010 and will remain out-of-service while the signal cabinet is being rebuilt. All train crews must flag the crossing during this time. |
