The 2013 annual inspections for all grade crossings were completed on 1/26/2013.
The classic wooden gate arms that have protected Kilkare Rd. crossing for many years have been temporarily replaced with aluminum/fiberglass gates until new wooden gates can be fabricated. The original gates needed to be repainted and re-striped. After they were removed a close inspection revealed some wood damage. It was decided that fabricating new gates would be better than trying to repair the original gates.
